Lifestyle Newborn Photography: Caroline

Photographing this sweet baby for her 3 month in-home lifestyle newborn photography session was an absolute joy. The lighting was perfect, she’s perfect and you can tell how much her parents love her. We photographed Carson (who owns the super cool store, The Paper Moon on the Coast, btw!) and Taylor’s wedding last year in Biloxi, MS and we feel absolutely honored to be given the opportunity to be a part of their lives.

Typically, a newborn session is done when the baby is 10 days or younger, however, here at Starling and Sage, we’re super chill and we get that sometimes it’s hard as heck to get things together at 10 days or earlier, while you both are trying to figure this baby thing out. So, no worries! Call us whenever and don’t ever feel bad about not doing a session at a certain time. You get all the credit for even doing a session in the first place!

The biggest joy I got from this session was actually photographing a newborn for the first time after being a mom and realizing that I’ve got new mom superpowers! Ha! The ease and connection I had with sweet Caroline was something I had never had before being a mother and it’s just astounding what a difference having your own sweet baby makes. Now, I will delight in newborn sessions, something that used to make me very nervous because I just didn’t know how to handle myself and the baby. Call me for all your newborn session needs, people!
